SANTA CLAUSE TAKES A SUMMER VACATION IN NEW YORK CITY

Santa Clause will be taking a summer vacation in New York City beginning Saturday, May 28th, 2005. And in typical Santa tradition, he will be giving away trips to summer camp for kids in need. It’s all part a week-long campaign to raise awareness for “Star Lake Youth Camp,” a free summer camp for underprivileged children.

From May 28th to June 3rd, Santa Clause will be traveling around New York and New Jersey, giving away several hundred summer camp spots to children ages 7 to 11. The camp is located in Bloomingdale, New Jersey, 35 miles outside of New York City. The camp provides activities like swimming, hiking, sports, arts and crafts, and an opportunity for kids to make friendships that can last a lifetime.

“Star Lake Youth Camp” is accredited with American Camp Association. All camp counselors are extensively trained in first aid, child management, safety procedures and other issues related to the safe supervision of our children.

More information on Star Lake Youth Camp is located at www.StarLakeyouthcamp.org.

Santa Tim show no fear as he allows a young Salvation Army camper to cling to him as they ride Coney Island's famous Cyclone Roller Coaster.
